Even though it doesn’t feel like it here in Kentucky, Thursday is the first day of Fall. It is still warm and humid! Ugh! But no fear it is coming and last week I got my first taste of it, while I was in Montana. Can you believe it even snowed?
Courier Journal Stylemaker
Yesterday I was in our local paper, The Courier Journal. It may not be a big deal to some but I am honored about the exposure. Every Sunday the paper runs the Scene section, which basically covers beauty and style trends. In this section they feature a Stylemaker, a man or women with unique personal style. You have to be nominated by someone. One of my best friends was gracious enough to nominate me, Thanks Audrey! Check out the article online here and shop my outfit below.

Alli Travels: LA
One place you have to visit while in Cali is LA. Am I right? There is everything from shopping on Rodeo Dr. or at The Grove, eating at great restaurants, seeing the ocean, and many historical sites that you see in the movies and on tv. While we were in LA we took one of those sight seeing, hop on, hop off, city bus tours. Yes it maybe very touristy, but it is the best way to see the city in such a short time. We used Starline, they have these buses in almost all major cities and countries. I definitely think they are well worth the money. You get a little education as you ride along and see the sites. If you see something you like, hop off, explore on your own and catch the next bus to continue your tour. Genius idea!
Alli Travels: San Diego
When I travel I like to dress comfortable. I love to wear maxi dresses because they are so easy. The one I have on is from last season, but I found some that I plan to add to my closet (here, here, and this one here). I also like jeans when I travel (the ones I have on below can be found here), a cute pair of sandals (here and here), a good pair of sunnies (I like these here), and a large tote to carry everything (my favorite is here). You can shop the rest of my looks below.
Alli Travels: Grand Canyon
You honestly need to first just take in the vast landscape. It is totally unreal and like nothing you have ever seen before. You need a whole day, really a weekend, to see at least 1/4 of what the park has to offer. There are many walking and hiking trails, but make sure you read up on the level of difficulty of each before you start out. There are some that take hours, like the whole day to hike there and back. There are also many trails that are for more experienced hikers.
Alli Travels: Coachella
I am so glad that she did because we would not have gotten to see this beautiful view at Coachella Valley Vista Point. Has this ever happened to you? Driving in the middle of nowhere and then something awesome happens? If you are ever in the Palm Desert it is worth the drive up to see. This instance reminded me that in life you have to sometimes go through the curvy back roads to get to something beautiful or to get to where you are suppose to be. Life Lessons!!
Weekend in the Desert
It gets pretty hot here in the desert so I made sure I packed a lot of dresses. This one I have on is a favorite. A Lilly Pulitzer from last year. I have linked new similar Lilly’s here and here. I accessorized it with my Kendra Scott earrings, found here, my Louis Vuitton tote (here), and Tory Burch sandals (similar here and here). I have linked my outfit details below.
