The Perfect Skirt for your Holiday Outfit

Holidays are among us and I cannot wait! It is may favorite time of the year. Seeing everyone’s Christmas decor already up makes me want to put mine up this weekend. Is it too early? I usually do it Thanksgiving weekend. Speaking of Thanksgiving…what are you wearing? I found the perfect skirt for family Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving. This plaid mini is super cute and great for cold weather. It has a side zip and fits true to size. I paired it with one of my favorite lace tops and my hands down favorite blazer (I mean I get compliments on it every time I wear it). And what is fall without some patterned tights? They add so much to an outfit, as well as these over the knee boots. I am a fan of OTK boots with skirts and dresses. They are so fun and tie this look together.

Always a Dress Girl

I think that dresses are the most easiest and stylish piece of attire that any woman can wear. An all in one outfit with no stress of finding coordinating individual clothing that comes together to make a full look. This dress is one of my favorites and it is no surprise that it is animal print. I like the thicker material that it is constructed with, which makes it great for Fall. I bought this dress at a local boutique (Work the Metal), but have linked similar ones below. I paired it with black booties, a black leather cross body, added some color with my sunnies and these cute earrings.

Wedding Wednesday: The Before

Happy Wedding Wednesday!! For the next couple Wednesdays I am going to be sharing wedding pictures from our wedding a month ago. On this post I want to showcase some of the before the wedding pictures, meaning the lead up to the day of the wedding. Including accessories and behind the scenes.

The wedding was held at the Kentucky Derby Museum and was a wonderful day spent with family and friends. Flowers were done by Country Squire and Photography by Jessica Bradford Photography. Dress was from Modern Trousseau Louisville. Hope you enjoy!

Flex Friday

Flex Friday or Fitness Friday whatever your fancy make it count. Lately I have not been making it count and I am definitely feeling it. This is the same old song and dance and I am ready to change it. Not as a New Year’s resolution but like now. I am ready for barre, cycling, and maybe another 1/2 marathon, who is with me? This is ridiculous, but it is my own fault. I should start a support group for the “I use to workout, but fell off”. Who wants to join? But in all seriousness I feel like I am ready to get back and I have noticed that I do better working out in the winter. There is no better time then present. Business Dress

Happy Monday y’all!! What has everyone been up to? This past weekend was busy cleaning out my closet, shopping for home decor and going to a baby shower. Since today is the beginning of the work week I thought that it was appropriate to showcase some business wear. Where are all my corporate ladies, entrepreneurs, or just overall stylish girls at? This outfit is for you!
If you have been following me for awhile you know houndstooth is on of my favorite cold weather designs. This textured tweed houndstooth woven pattern dress is great for fall and winter work attire. It is the right length; hitting the top of the knee, form fitting, and overall the right details. I paired this dress with black heels and gold hoops. Happy Makeup Monday!! Who is in the mood for some new matte lipstick?? I am always ready to try on a new lippie, especially if it is from Pixi Beauty. I have featured this brand on the blog and social media many times so there is no secret that I am a fan. They have great skincare and some amazing beauty products, all of which are affordable. Right now lipstick is my jam and I am loving Pixi’s MatteLast Liquid Lip. I like them because they are very pigmented, they have some great fall colors to choose from, and they do not dry your lips out. I did a couple swatches in my new YouTube video here. Check it out and let me know your favorite. Also, Pixi allowed me to create my own color so you can see me mixing it all together on the vlog.

Hello World! How is your week? Mine? Trying to get back to some normalcy. Wedding, work conference, I feel like I need a vacay. Anyway, I am ready to bring on Fall weather. What about you? I love wearing cute jackets like this one below. They are great to ward off some of the cold weather. Army green is very popular right now. A jacket like this makes the outfit, especially with all the colorful details. It is pretty much the center piece to build the rest of the attire around. Pairing it with neutrals, such as white jeans, nude heels and a tan tank, allows for the detail to pop. This is a perfect outfit for fall. Shop it below.

City Girl

I have always been a city girl! I love the busyness, all the people, the buzz in the air, and the feeling of motivated people getting from one place to another. Are you a city person or do you like things a little more slower pace? Either way this dress is perfect for a night out in the city. The details work great to hide any parts you don’t want to showcase, as well give your figure some shape. For the fall this dress pairs well with booties or over the knee boots. I accessorized with a brown leather clutch, leather earrings and burgundy lipstick. This is a date night, girls night out, or a night at the theater to see a broadway play type dress. Finally Fall

It’s finally fall and in some places it really feels like it in others not so much. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love sweaters, boots, scarfs, and anything pumpkin. Are you a fall lover? One misconception about fall is that you can’t wear white. Well…that’s not true and these white jeans will definitely be on full rotation until at least November, if not longer. I paired them with an off the shoulder sweater, which is perfect for this time of the year since we have mild morning and warmer afternoons. I brought in some browns with the wedges and tote to complete the outfit. I am partially to brown and tan tones because they are a neutral and go with almost any skin tone. These colors are a staple for fall. 
The funnest part about this shoot was it was like 90 degrees and humid, and I am over here preparing for fall content. That is what a blogger does! 🙂 Happy Fall Y’all! Shop this look below.
