Alli Travels: Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is surreal. If you have never been, you should definitely add it to you bucket list. Since my boyfriend and I were traveling back from California (those pictures coming soon), He surprised me with a stop at the Grand Canyon on my birthday. I was super excited because I had never been.

You honestly need to first just take in the vast landscape. It is totally unreal and like nothing you have ever seen before. You need a whole day, really a weekend, to see at least 1/4 of what the park has to offer. There are many walking and hiking trails, but make sure you read up on the level of difficulty of each before you start out. There are some that take hours, like the whole day to hike there and back. There are also many trails that are for more experienced hikers.

The Grand Canyon Park is like a community within its self. It has everything you need. From a grocery store, a bank, coffee shop, places to eat, and even a bar to have drinks. You can stay in the park in the cabins, hotels, or bring your own RV. It is a great vacation spot for a family or you and your significant other. Check out my pictures below.
Make sure you come wearing activewear because there is a lot of walking, hiking, and physical activity. Workout Wednesday

Who loves active wear? If you are like me cute fashionable workout clothes motivate you to get things accomplished. Whether it is being physically active or running errands being stylish is a must. But the real reason to wear active wear is obviously so you can be active.

We all need to get in at least 30 minutes or more of physical activity a day. My favorite ways to work out are barre class, spin class, or running. What is your favorite workout? At Home Workout

It is very hard sometime to get in your workout when your life is so busy and hectic. I would go a couple days with out making it to the gym and that would eventually spiral into a month. This New Year I decided that physical activity needed to be an important part of my lifestyle no matter how busy I am. So I wanted to find ways I could get my workout in at home even on my busiest days.
Below is some great workout equipment designed to make your at home workout easier. What is your favorite at home workout equipment?

This Yoga Stretch Strap by FiveFourTen (which can be found here) I use to stretch out my muscles before and after a workout. It is also great for difficult yoga poses and balance.

I use these Go Sport It Push Up Bars (which can be found here) to strengthen my arms and upper body. The bars are light weight, but sturdy so that you can have the perfect push up because it allows you to have less stress on your body. They have foam grips so they do not slip. Lastly I use the Go Sport It Pilate Ring in my at home workout. You can find it here. This allows you to do your yoga and pilate sessions at home. You can target your lower and upper body with this ring and also increase flexibility and posture.  It is lightweight and portable so there is no excuses not to workout when traveling.
