The Perfect Belt

Perfect outfit, perfect belt! I can truly say accessories can make an outfit pop. This geometric fitted dress is great on its own, but when you add a belt with a legacy letter buckle (A for Alli of course) to compliment it, it pulls the whole thing together. I mean who doesn’t want their initials on their belt? (Find your legacy letter here). Further accessorizing this outfit was my main goal, as you can tell.  Patterned tights with over the knee boots accented the entire ensemble. A cross body and a tassel necklace to complete it. What is your go to accessory? Shop mine below.

Baciano Jacket

Hello Monday! Does it seem to you that the weekend goes by too quickly? Like you need another day between Sunday and Monday? I know I am not the only one. Anyway…… something positive about starting a new week….is new outfits, like this one below. I am in love with this Baciano Olympic Classic jacket. If you haven’t checked out Baciano, you should because they have some great pieces. This jacket is perfect for everyday wear. It is classy and casual. Good for taking an outfit from day to night.  I styled it with faux leather leggings, booties and a red lip to give a pop of color. What does your Monday outfit look like?

Playing Tourist

Playing tourist is one of my favorite things. Who is with me? This time I was playing tourist in New Orleans for New Year’s and Ben’s birthday. We did enjoye the local food, such as gumbo, red beans and rice, and jambalaya to name a few. If you want to taste some of the best local food try Mother’s Restaurant, but fyi there is always a line out the door so get there early. We visited the popular places such as Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, but what we really loved was Frenchmen Street. This is the place you want to go if you want to hear the iconic New Orleans jazz and blues sounds of the city. Plus more locals hangout there. You won’t be disappointed. If you are in the city I definitely suggest taking a swamp tour, or a Steamboat Natchez jazz cruise. There are waterways all over New Orleans. Also, don’t forget the biegnets at Cafe Du Monde. What are you favorite NOLA spots?
