It’s Ok to be A Little Extra

It’s ok to be a little extra during the holiday’s right?!? The holidays are a perfect time to wear that outfit or specific piece you usually never wear. For me it’s this faux fur white coat. I love this coat and it is super warm. I am not sure why I don’t wear it more during the cold winter months, probably because I don’t want to be extra all the time, lol!
This coat pairs well with almost anything; jeans, leggings, and even this black A line skirt, I am wearing here. I wanted to be festive for the season, so I added a pop of color (I would like to call it cranberry lol!). Since holiday parties are starting this weekend I thought it would be the perfect time to do the first party look of the month. This outfit could be worn to your work get-together or to a friend and family gathering. I accessorized it with over the knee boots, my favorite leopard clutch, and these multiple color feather earrings, which are one major sale by the way. How do I look?

I usually do it Thanksgiving weekend. Speaking of Thanksgiving…what are you wearing? I found the perfect skirt for family Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving. This plaid mini is super cute and great for cold weather. It has a side zip and fits true to size. I paired it with one of my favorite lace tops and my hands down favorite blazer (I mean I get compliments on it every time I wear it). And what is fall without some patterned tights? They add so much to an outfit, as well as these over the knee boots. I am a fan of OTK boots with skirts and dresses. They are so fun and tie this look together.

Holiday Look 3

It’s officially December, so you know what that means?!? It is Christmas time! Who has finished their shopping and has their decorations up? Shopping no, decorations yes for me! As I look at my events for this holiday season, I am wondering what to wear. Do you have the same problem? If so I find the easiest way to address this is to shop your closet first by pulling out some staples. For this outfit, my staples are leggings and a button down blouse. Most women own tons of leggings and a large majority have a nice button down. Since I am a big fan of layers I added a faux fur vest to the outfit and then I accessorized with knee boots and a fancy clutch.

You always need a statement piece to wear during the season. I am loving this necklace from 7 Charming Sisters, which is an amazing company that has designed 7 different lines of jewelry (hints the 7 sisters). One of the lines is definitely going to be your style! The 7 sisters are from all aspect of life and bring their unique tastes into the line. Pick from earrings, necklaces and bracelet. You will have a hard time picking your favorite, especially since it is at a great price point.

But you have to dress the part! This satin A line skirt is perfect for the season. A fancy black skit is a must in your wardrobe. I paired it with a black tank and a fitted black and white jacket, which I love. No outfit is ever complete without a statement necklace, and this red one is just what you need for the holidays. Have a holiday work party or social event soon? This look is easy to recreate. Shop it below.

Holiday Look #1

Shop: Blouse |  Pants |  Clutch | Heels | Earrings | Bracelet (one, two) | Lipstick

It’s holiday time! So what are you going to wear? Let me help. From now until the holidays I will be doing holiday looks on the blog that are easy to recreate. Some casual, some dressy and some in-between.

My first holiday look starts with a simple black skinny jean or a skinny pant, something that we all have in our closet. I paired it with a cranberry or merlot colored silk blouse that has sheer cape sleeves. This statement piece is too die for and will be on heavy rotation this season. I’m pretty sure this color is the color of the holidays. I added leopard print heels for texture and flair. So if you are looking for a holiday outfit you can wear to work as well as attend a social function, after hitting the grind, this is my outfit of choice.

The holidays are coming do you have do you have your outfits ready? Shop one of my favorites below.

Winter Look

Since it is finally winter it is time to start dressing like it. I love winter for the scarfs and layers. I actually think that winter clothing is more fashionable than summer clothes because all the extra accessories that can be added to an outfit. What is your favorite thing to wear in winter?

Below I styled a winter outfit where I paired different prints together. Not everything has to be so matchy matchy. I put together a navy and white gingham print shirt with a blank and white herringbone vest. Adding black skinny jeans, a red scarf, and heels to finish the outfit. I little red lipstick and gold jewelry to make it pop. I love a great color lipstick to brighten up your face. This outfit can be worn to work or to a social gathering with friends. Shop the outfit below. Hope you enjoy!

Holiday Look 2

You can never go wrong with a gold skirt. Am I right? Gold is definitely a color for the holiday. It is a great alternative to the usual red that you see everyone wearing. Don’t get me wrong I love red, but I like to switch it up sometimes.

I love the length of this one because you can wear it almost anywhere,  such as your work christmas party, family or friend holiday get together, and even to a holiday church service. I paired this one with a tank, a little black jacket, and some booties. I have linked similar looks below. Hope you enjoy!

Holiday Look

Christmas is less than a week away and if you are like me you still have gifts to buy and wrap. I work well under pressure, it’s the life of a procrastinator to do so. One thing I will not be stressing about is what to wear on Christmas day or to a Christmas party. A cocktail dress is usually always fitting for the occasion.

Wether you are going to your family gathering or to a fancy holiday shindig, a cocktail dress will also work. I paired the dress with a black jacket and purse, bright jewelry and topped it off with a shiny pair of heels. What is you favorite thing to wear on Christmas? Shop similar looks below. Hope you enjoy.
