Happy Derby Week All! If you are from Kentucky you know what this week entails. There are many festivities that lead up to this anticipated 2 minute horse race that takes place the first Saturday in May. Such festivities as the Derby Parade, Chow Wagon, Wine & Beer Fest, The Oaks and many more (check out the list of events here). Going to the races is usually all about the hat, but in my case it is about the fascinator. What you choose to wear on your head is a fashion statement, so you want to choose wisely. This one is from Griffin Hatters, check them out for all your hat needs for men and women.

Happy Saturday! A couple days ago I did a little shopping at the Old Navy Outlet and pick up a few items to add to my Spring wardrobe. Old Navy is having an awesome sale 20%-30% off of regular priced items, so of course I stocked up! I got 5 items for $30. Check out my new YouTube video on my Old Navy Haul here or below.

The whole continent of Australia is beautiful. I spent my time there in the states of Victoria and New South Wales. Sorrento is a townships in Victoria that I had the opportunity to visit. Located off the shores of Port Phillip Bay in the Mornington Peninsula and about an hour and a half from the city of Melbourne, Sorrento is a great getaway.
This quaint village is sprawling with amazing views, boutiques, and eateries. If being on the water is your thing take a full day Kayaking Tour (details here), or capture the scenic views on the Sorrento-Portsea Artists Trail. If you are a foodie Sorrento is known for its vanilla slice, Just Fine Food is known to have a tasty one and if you are staying a little longer Stringer Store is the go-to grocery for visitors and locals. Sorrento also has great shopping. A couple of my favorite stops were Country Road, Witchery, and Emia. Although I was only there for a day trip, I also know that Sorrento has some prime real estate and some great places to stay for a weekend holiday. Check out the Sorrento Beach House or the Buoys on Queens.
When we finished our day walking around the local strip we took the Seared Ferries, a 40 minute boat ride, from Sorrento to Queenscliff, which is the gateway to Great Ocean Road (a must see) for our next adventure. Check out the video below where you might see some dolphins.
Graffiti….one of the best back drops for a photo, especially for a blogger. These works of art are all over the lane ways in Melbourne, Australia. You can find this one outside of Spice Market, a great place to grab a drink if you are in town. The decor is enough to make you want to stop in.
The graffiti goes great with a this geometric print dress (similar here), that I paired with black flats and a oversized tote, which is idea for travel. As you will see me toting it all around Australia in my next couple post. So stay tuned, many Australia travel post to come!
It has been awhile since I have done an Instagram Roundup, so I have decided it was time. Shop many of my favorite outfits from the past couple weeks that have been featured on Insta below. Transitioning into warm weather many of the outfits in this roundup can be worn for cool mornings and warm afternoons.
It is Spring in the US, which means that temperatures are rising and the fashion comes out, including great trends this season that will make stylists and fashionistas want to add a few things to their collection. I have picked five of my favorite trends to share with you 1. Bold solids; this jumpsuit is great for social functions, and this dress is wonderful for a spring/summer weddings. Solids are easy to accessorize and look wonderful on almost everyone. 2. Florals are also in style for warm weather temperatures, I am loving this rose print blouse and these floral biker pants. If you like something with a little more multi-colored, florals are the way to go. 3. The exaggerated sleeve is always a good look. I think they add character to an otherwise boring outfit. If you are in the market for some ruffles then try this off the shoulder top or this sleeveless ruffle gown. 4. The sheer look is really popular right now, it can be done conservatively with this look here, or a little bit more risqué with this look. 5. Statement stripes are an easy fun look that can add a little diversity to your wardrobe. I love this flirty mini dress or this low key cold shoulder dress. What are your favorite Spring 17 trends?
