Happy Independence Day America!! I thought this red dress was fitting for the holiday. What are your plans on this patriot day? Mine going to a pool party and cleaning, blah to the cleaning but it has to be done.
Front tie dresses have been very popular this summer and this one for me didn’t disappoint. The color, the fit and the movement are perfect. It is light and flowy, great for a hot summer’s day. I paired it with large gold chandelier earrings, wedges, a red lip and a straw handbag. And how cute is this hammered copper cuff? Accessories can definitely help make an outfit.

My last blog post explain what the Home is the Key Campaign is all about (read that post here). It is a wonderful campaign with an amazing cause that works towards combating the affordable housing crisis here in the US. I have chosen to collaborating with them by showing off my style in this Chico’s Basic Essential Slub Tee. Chico’s and Chico’s FAS brand stores have partnered with Habitat for Humanity by allow their customers to donate in store and online to help with this cause. Each Chico’s FAS brand stores (White House Black Market, Chico’s, and Soma Intimates) have chosen a product to donate all proceeds when purchased to Habitat from April 23-May 31. For Chico’s that item is their Basic Essential Slub Tee, which I am wearing in this post. It is truly the perfect tee because of its high low design that allows it to be longer in the back and shorter in the front, which is great for leggings or that half tucked look. The shirt is super comfortable and works well with jeans, liked I paired it here. I added some cute accessories, such as my legacy belt, beaded earrings and a clutch that showcases one of my favorite fruits, pineapple (which means hospitality and friendship). Style yours anyway you like, considering the tee can go with almost anything.
There are many ways to get involved with Home is the Key. Check out their website (here) for more information.
Happy Friday! It is actually feeling like Spring today for the first time, and I couldn’t be more excited! What about you? I am so over the cold and snowy weather. Now that it has warmed up, what do you wear? Well for me its leggings of course. I love the faux leather ones, which are great for Spring, considering that in the morning and evening the temperature maybe a littler more chillier. I styled the leggings with a black tank, which is perfect for that afternoon warmer temps. I paired the outfit with a tan moto jacket to give it a little color. Added a couple of accessories and wedges and I was good to go. What are you wearing today??

Do not get me wrong! I love expensive bags and shoes as much as the next fashionista, but sometimes it is just not in the budget to spend an exorbitant amount of money on frivolous items. No worries because I have rounded up some stylish money savers that look just like the real thing.
This bag here, which is under $25, is a great alternative for similar expensive handbags (here and here). These coveted wedges (found here) have been all over social media. Well you do not have to break the bank to be stylish, these look a like wedges (here) are under $35. Espadrilles have been all the rage lately. These cute ones here are under $30, which are similar to these more expensive ones found here.
What are some of your saves? Shop the rest of mine below.
Sometimes I just like a lot of color. I am not scared to experiment with color or patterns when it comes to clothing. I think it adds a little personal style when you mix and match.
Bright colors and bold prints are great for summer. I personally use them to make a statement. A fashion statement that is. Pairing this orange flirty skirt (similar found here) with a polk a dot blouse (similar) gives these individual pieces new life and an extra bit of style. I am a proponent of shopping your own closet. Taking old pieces and mixing them with other pieces to form something new. Like I did with this outfit. I added a turquoise clutch (similar here) for another pop of color, tan wedges (here) and jewelry to match (Earrings, Watch, Necklace) .
I am sure you have many items in your closet that you can pair with others to create a new and exciting outfits, so why not shop what you already have. I Linked my outfit details below. Hope you enjoy!
Who is ready for Spring? I definitely am. I cannot wait for the days of cool mornings and warm even hot afternoons and evenings. In the spring and summer I love to wear dresses.
They are the easiest thing to put on and can literally be worn anywhere. To work, church, a wedding and out with friends. Since spring and summer are big time wedding seasons I put together a look I plan on wearing to an upcoming wedding this summer.
I love this floral dress (similar here
, and here
). It is great for an indoor or outdoor wedding. I paired it with a white blazer (found here
). Blazers are awesome for coverups for sleeveless dresses especially for outdoor or evening wedding. I literally have 6-8 blazers because they are a great compliment to almost any outfit. I accessorized this outfit with Kendra Scott earrings (here
) and necklace (here)
Watch is from Wristology (found here
), use code: AA20 for 20% off of any watch. I paired my Chloé ‘Marcie’ satchel (here
) and wedges (favorites here
) to finish the look. What is your favorite wedding look? Shop my look below. Hope you enjoy!
