Shoe Edit

Sometimes old faithfuls are just not enough when it comes to shoes. Even though I love these Nine West shoes (which were literally bought like 8 or 9 years ago) sometimes I am on the hunt for something new and trendy.

What are your favorite new trending shoes? Some that I am hoping to add to my closet are these Berit Wedge Sandal from Kork-Ease, these Vale Booties by Donald J Pliner, and these Maceo Pointy Toe Booties by Jeffery Campbell. Below I am linked more of my favorites that you are sure to love. Hope you enjoy!

Rooftop Fashion

Morning Peeps! How was your weekend? Mine fantastic! A couple weeks ago I had a girls night with a couple friends. I don’t know about you but every once in a while when I go out I like to be cute but casual. Don’t get me wrong I love my dresses but there is something about a good pair of jeans and a blazer. I feel like it is an outfit that you can’t go wrong with especially in the spring because the weather can be a little iffy. Check out my look from girls night at the rooftop bar and restaurant 8UP. Hope you enjoy!

Doorway to Nowhere

Happy Monday Loves! Hope you had a great Easter weekend. I sure did. I finished a 10 mile race on Saturday (look out for my race post in the near future) and spent much needed time with my family on Easter Sunday. What did you do this weekend?  I hope something fun!
Well a couple days ago I got to do something I consider fun. I have aways wanted to do a photo shoot at The Heigold House Facade or “The Doorway to Nowhere”, so I finally got my wish. I wanted to shoot here because it is just a cool setting, which you will see below. I feel like it is where the past, present, and future kind of meet. If you need a great photographer in Louisville, KY try JCSS Photography, she does great work. Anyway,  check out my pics and outfit details below. Hope you enjoy!

How to Add Some Flair to A Boring Sweater

Happy Friday! How was your week? Mine? It was pretty busy so I am definitely ready for the weekend. I started my weekend off with a little photo shoot to get me energized and ready. If you have big plans for your weekend how about pulling out a old boring sweater that you just cannot seem to give away and adding some flair to it?!? You ask “How can I do that”?
Well all of us have some of those plain basic sweaters in our wardrobe. How about adding one of this years top fashion item? The blanket scarf. Adding a blanket scarf can add flair to any outfit. Especially if it is a bright colorful one. Why not take it a step further and belt it with a skinny belt. This gives your scarf a cape effect and makes a statement. You can even get a little daring and mix patterns. My belt has polka dots on it.
There is no need to go out and spend money on something new when you can create new outfits by just adding a few details you already have in your closet. Enjoy!!
