After pictures and seeing a little bit of the town, I went to dinner at Heirloom restaurant (website) with my boyfriend and a couple other Aussies. The food was awesome. If you are ever in Midway I would definitely suggest it. Midway is a cool little town that I plan to explore more this summer, so stay tuned.
That dress for me is a shift dress. The clean lines and length have always worked for me. This dress can be paired with heels, boots and flats and can look great. In the fall and winter I like to pair this type of dress with boots like I did below. I also add simple jewelry and a tote to finish the outfit. I bought this specific dress year ago but I liked similar shift dresses and all other accessories below. What is your favorite go to dress? Hope you enjoy!
This black camel long sleeve color block jacket, which can be found here, is a great piece to add to your closet. It is a neutral so it can be paired with many outfits. The jacket is light weight and can be worn over a light sweater, tank, or even a dress (like I wore below). I think the black and tan dress complimented it well, topped off with black leggings and flats. I have linked similar looks below. Hope you enjoy!

Not only are they affordable, under $9 to be exact, they go on smooth and keep your lips hydrated. The matte colors stay on for hours, so no need to reapply every time you take a sip of that coffee. This collection comes in 6 nude color selections and 6 red color selections. The 6 nudes shades were carefully categorized to fit individuals skin tones, so you can choose from Jennifer’s Nude (for medium-olive skin tones), Freida’s Nude (for honey skin tones), Doutzen’s Nude (for fair-light skin tones), Liya’s Nude (for deeper skin tones), Julianne’s Nudes , and Eva’s Nude (for light-medium skin tones). This helps to pick out your perfect shade of nude. Since I have a medium to dark skin tone I selected Liya’s Nude. The color worked great for my skin complexion (see below). It was just enough lip color to tell you had on lipstick but not over the top. Hence the name nude. So in my case I would say they nailed it. This color is perfect for a daytime look. There are also 6 different shades of red in this collection. They are not specific to skin tone but you are sure to find your perfect red in one of these bold matte colors. You can find the six shades here. I chose to try Blake’s Red. I loved it. Not only did it last most of the day it did fade or dry my lips out. This is always a positive in my book. These L’oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Lip Colors are definitely a great drugstore pick and worth the money. You can find these lip sticks at your local Walgreen’s or here. What is your favorite fall lip color? I linked a couple of the L’oreal lip colors below. Hope you enjoy.
The weather can be a little tricky this time of year, especially if the wedding is outside. It can be chilly temps one day and shorts and t-shirt weather the next. So this past weekend I attended a wedding that was outside, and 90 degrees might I add. It was a country chic themed, complete with a barn, hay, and mason jars to drink out of. I thought wearing a little lace would be fitting for this scenery. The dress I have on is my 2015 Kentucky Derby dress that came from The Limited early this spring. I believe in shopping your closet first ladies. I had only wore it once and I thought it was a great time to wear it again. I linked similar dresses as well as accessories below. I hope you enjoy!
Happy Monday Peeps! Here is a blog roundup of many of the outfits I have worn the past couple weeks with details. Hope you enjoy!
