Olive Shorts

Shorts | Top | Handbag | Jewelry (earrings, watch, bracelet) | Sandals (similar) | Lipstick | Nails | Sunnies

Sometimes you just have to be easy breezy! Meaning your outfit should be stylish yet comfortable.
Although I am a girl who loves a good reason to dress up, I do enjoy the times where my outfit can be  low key but still put together. I achieved this look by pairing olive shorts (found here), with an off white lace top (similar one here). I then added my favorite cross body handbag (here), tan flats (similar), and gold jewelry to match (earringswatchbracelet). I finished the look with a bright pink lip (found here) and a pair of tortoise shell sunnies (similar). This look is easy and can be worn as casual dress to hangout with friends or to run errands. A good pair of shorts are always great summer staple. Shop the rest of my look below.

Lisa & Lucy

Once upon a time you find the perfect dress! A dress the you can wear to many occasions and fits you like a glove.

I found that in this Lisa and Lucy Halter Peplum Dress (here). This white floral design is idea for summer. It is great for many social functions like cocktail parties, polo matches, girls night or date night. It is form fitting and shows off your curves in the best way. It is sexy without showing too much. I absolutely love a peplum. They are a great way to hide or disguise areas of your body that you are not comfortable with.
I paired this dress with bright teal shoes to give it a pop of color. Find similar shoes here and here. I added my favorite blush cross body (here) and gold jewelry to match (earrings, similar bracelet). I completed the look with tortoise shell sunglasses (here) and a pink lip (here). I love this dress from Lisa and Lucy and they have a great summer collect, check it out here. Shop my look below. Enjoy!

Makeup Monday: Summer Lipstick

One | Two  (color Heroine)| Three | Four

Can you believe it is the first day of Summer? Me either! I think summer is for bright lipstick, maxi dresses and cocktails on the patio. Who is with me?

Since purple is my favorite color, you know I had to wear it in a lipstick. This lip color can be found here (color heroine) Some purple or plum colors can be too deep or over powering so I try to stick with the lighter shades for summertime. Some I would suggest are this one here, this one and I really like this one. Purple lips are a great way to add color to your outfit.

Bright pink is excellent for summer. If you are trying to make a bold statement go for a bold pink, like the one above. Find the exact color here. Another favorite that I have in my pink collection that stays on great is this one. For a pink that will not break the bank try this one here. Having at least one bright pink in your lipstick bag is a must.

I personally think red is good in any season. It usually makes an outfit pop and your skin look instantly brighter and younger. Great for date night or if you are trying to be a little sexy. Find this exact shade here. Other reds I love are this one and this one. What is your perfect red?

Where are all my girls who love a good nude lip? Nudes are great for daytime and workwear. Find this color here. I think the hardest thing about wearing a nude is that you have to get the right shades for your skin tone. For medium brown skin tones I suggest this one and this one. What nude works best for your complexion?

Check out all my favorite summer lip shades below and suggest some new ones for me to try.

Holding on to Summer

Even though summer is fading away…..I am still trying to hold on to it. Although I love fall and my fall wardrobe I am not wishing summer away.

So with that said and the 90 degree temps….there is another summer outfit on the blog. I think there is nothing like a good light weight dress on a hot summer day.  Who is with me? This dress is an oldie but goodie. FYI…. shop your closet ladies! It probably has the best clothes around. And hint hint it is probably your style. I love pairing something old with something new. Dress old, Sandals new. I linked similar dresses below. Hope you enjoy!!

Makeup Favorites

So I love makeup, even more playing with different makeup products and colors. Doesn’t every girl? I am far from a makeup artist but I think I do good picking out colors for myself. Below I share some of my makeup favorites. Check it out. There is a variety of prices from medium to low. Enjoy!

My favorite makeup product is the Nars Multiple Purpose stick (found here in orgasm). It can be used for eyes, lips, cheeks, and body. It is a little on the expensive, but is well worth it and last a long time. I use it mostly for a blush and sometimes to highlight.
The MAC matte lipstick is called Runner which is no longer available. It was a collaboration with Mac and Nasty Gal. You can find Mac lipstick here. A color that is similar is Diva.
The NARS Audacious lipstick is called Michiyo. It is a bright pink and great for spring. You can find Michiyo here
I recently discovered the Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes. You combine this with your favorite mascara and it gives you long lashes to die for. I am not a consultant so I am not trying to sell you anything. I just know a good product when I see one. You can find the 3D Fiber Lashes here.
My favorite eyeliner is Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black. It comes in a pot with a brush to apply. Very easy application. This product can be found at any drugstore or here

I keep my lips conditioned with many different products but one of my favorites is Maybelline Baby Lips. This one is Strike a Rose. It can be found at most stores where Maybelline products are sold or here.

I recently discovered Cover Girl Lip Lava. This product combines lipstick pigment, gloss shine, & balm nourishment all in one. This color is Lava-nder. It can be found at drugstores or here.

Loreal has these cute little lipstick called Extraordinaire by Colour Riche that come with a applicator kinda like a lip gloss, but it covers like a lipstick. The color is rich with great shine. The two colors here are Ruby Opera and Plum Adagio. They are also available at multiple stores or you can find it here.

Lipstick: MAC Runner
Lipstick: Loreal Ruby Opera
Lipstick: Loreal Plum Adagio
Lipstick: Colorgirl Lip Lava in Lava-nder

How to Add Some Flair to A Boring Sweater

Happy Friday! How was your week? Mine? It was pretty busy so I am definitely ready for the weekend. I started my weekend off with a little photo shoot to get me energized and ready. If you have big plans for your weekend how about pulling out a old boring sweater that you just cannot seem to give away and adding some flair to it?!? You ask “How can I do that”?
Well all of us have some of those plain basic sweaters in our wardrobe. How about adding one of this years top fashion item? The blanket scarf. Adding a blanket scarf can add flair to any outfit. Especially if it is a bright colorful one. Why not take it a step further and belt it with a skinny belt. This gives your scarf a cape effect and makes a statement. You can even get a little daring and mix patterns. My belt has polka dots on it.
There is no need to go out and spend money on something new when you can create new outfits by just adding a few details you already have in your closet. Enjoy!!
