Shop: Jacket | Dress | Necklace (one, two) | Handbag | Booties | Lipstick | Watch

I am always a bit cheeky! Isn’t everybody? Well in this outfit I feel like I can get away with it! I love dress and bootie season. And since this week started to feel like fall this outfit was perfect to showcase. I styled a brightly colored dress with black suede booties, a two toned fitted jacket, and a exaggerated statement necklace. All the textures and colors mixed together is what made me fall in love with fashion and personal style. I finished the look with a cross-body with gold trim and a red lip. This is probably my favorite fall look thus far and I feel like I can wear it anywhere.

The Color of Fall

What is your favorite fall color? Mine is this mustard yellow color. It reminds me of the changing of the leaves. So when I saw this cape inspired dress from Shop Nic and Kat I knew I had to have it. How amazing is it? I love the fact that it has a cape and that you can put your arms through it for a whole new look, so it is almost like getting two looks with one outfit. This dress is great for a fall wedding. You will definitely make a statement with it. I paired it with gold jewelry, a snake skin cross body to give it some texture and a pair of dark teal heels. As the temperatures get cooler you can wear it with a pair of booties and even a knee boot,

End of Summer

Summer days are ending and fall will be among us sooner than we know. So what will you wear to transition between the hot and cold weather?

You don’t have to put away all your summer attire. How I like to transition is by layering. Take one of your favorite summer dresses, like I did here and add a denim jacket. This is great for cold mornings and warm afternoons. Cardigans, blazers, and jean jackets are idea for transitioning weather. Another  item for those days where temperatures fluctuate at a very high range of degrees are peep-toe shoes. You aren’t completely giving up the open toes yet. Peep-toes come in flats, heels and booties and work well for those in-between days.

Street Chic

Street style is the best style, whether it is comfy casual or all out fancy! My street style for today is more of street chic. This maxi skirt is my favorite you can dress it up with heels and a fancy shirt like I did here or you can make it more casual with a graphic tee and your most comfy sneaks. I accessorized the outfit with a cross body, trendy gold jewelry and stylish sunnies.

This is for the College Girls

It is back to school time and who doesn’t need a stylish backpack?  Especially if it compliments a great pair of custom fitted jeans. This backpack is actually called a Jet Pack, which can be found here, it is ideal for the college girl that is carrying her daily essentials around on campus and needs a little extra room to store her books. The bag is heavy duty as well as fashionable. It will compliment any outfit.

The jeans are RoxyNell (follow them on Instagram here for an update on their launch). RoxyNell is based in Louisville, KY and they focuses on Bourbon, Baseball and Denim. Custom fitted are a must if you want the right look for your body type, and RoxyNell has done it right with these trouser jeans. The color is great and they pair well with mostly any top. The things I love about trouser jeans are that they are acceptable for days at school, date night and even running errands.

Bright Summer Dress

Shop my favorite dress picks: One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six

As I soak up the last days of summer…..I always feel like I need to get in the outfits that I forgot to wear the whole season. This dress below is one of those items. Since I personally love a bright summer dress, this orange one had to make its way out of the closet. I paired this halter dress with statement earrings from 7 Charming Sisters, one of my favorite summer clutches (similar, similar) and comfortable flats. It was perfect for the 90 degree temps and having wine and beer on the patio of a busy eclectic restaurant with friends.

What else do you want to get in before our final days of summer are behind us??

Seeing Red

           Shop: Pants | Shirt | Lipstick | Handbag | Sunglasses | Necklace | Watch | Bracelet | Shoes

A red pant and red lipstick…..what else do you need!?! Honestly, red lipstick is a staple in my book and this one here is my favorite. With a red lip why not throw on some red pants, like I did in this outfit. Pair your bold pants with a less over the top button down shirt.
One thing I love in a outfit is pattern mixing, stripes with leopard print…Yes Please! What are your favorite pattens to mix? Leopard goes with anything, in my book, because it’s a neutral. I completed the outfit with a cross body and gold jewelry. Shop my look below.

My NYC Style

When you are in the Concrete Jungle you have to create your own style. In a city where almost anything goes you want to stand out. So that is exactly what I set out to do!

For my NYC style I paired an inexpensive gingham print button down with a more “fancy” skirt. Pairing expensive and inexpensive is idea when building your wardrobe. I then added a fur vest to really make my outfit pop. I love to mix and match patterns because it makes an otherwise boring outfit new and fresh. With that said I added the leopard print clutch, which is one of my favorites. I finished the outfit with knee boots, a tassel necklace and red lipstick to give it an overall polished look.

Summer 2016 Trends

                                 One (top, bottom) | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six | Seven | Eight

Summer will be here sooner then you think. So if you are looking to add some of the top trending styles to your wardrobe, I have you covered.
There are many trending styles this summer. I have round up a few of my favorites. One trend that we saw a lot of in the fall, that has made its way to summer is the lace up flat (find an afford pair here). This flat can be worn with almost anything, like jeans to dresses, and even shorts. I will definitely be adding a pair to my shoe collection. Another trend I love is the bold stripe. Outfits with bold stripe patterns can hide or camouflage areas that you do not want to show or highlight. I am liking this dress here. Off the shoulder is also big this year. It is a great way to be a little sexy but not show too much. Find one of my favorite off the should tops here. One of the most stylish trends of the seasons is the exaggerated sleeve. It is very flowy, pretty and looks great on almost anyone. This dress (found here) with exaggerated sleeve would be idea for date night or hanging with the girls.

Frayed denim is a casual trend of the summer. Great for the weekend or after work. Find a pair of frayed denim shorts here. Another trend that is making a reappearance are gladiator sandals, so dust off your old ones or if you are looking to add a new pair to your collection try these here. Slipper mules are a trend that many seem to be loving lately. They are easy to wear and usually pretty comfortable. The ones here are pretty pricey but they look great. What trends will you be rocking this summer?
