Winter Look

Since it is finally winter it is time to start dressing like it. I love winter for the scarfs and layers. I actually think that winter clothing is more fashionable than summer clothes because all the extra accessories that can be added to an outfit. What is your favorite thing to wear in winter?

Below I styled a winter outfit where I paired different prints together. Not everything has to be so matchy matchy. I put together a navy and white gingham print shirt with a blank and white herringbone vest. Adding black skinny jeans, a red scarf, and heels to finish the outfit. I little red lipstick and gold jewelry to make it pop. I love a great color lipstick to brighten up your face. This outfit can be worn to work or to a social gathering with friends. Shop the outfit below. Hope you enjoy!

Holiday Look

Christmas is less than a week away and if you are like me you still have gifts to buy and wrap. I work well under pressure, it’s the life of a procrastinator to do so. One thing I will not be stressing about is what to wear on Christmas day or to a Christmas party. A cocktail dress is usually always fitting for the occasion.

Wether you are going to your family gathering or to a fancy holiday shindig, a cocktail dress will also work. I paired the dress with a black jacket and purse, bright jewelry and topped it off with a shiny pair of heels. What is you favorite thing to wear on Christmas? Shop similar looks below. Hope you enjoy.

What to Wear: Vegas

Everybody loves a little weekend getaway to Vegas, right? I know I do. The one thing I don’t like about traveling is figure out what to wear. In Vegas you have to transition your outfits from day to night. Meaning you will probably be wearing multiple outfits in one day.
So I always try to plan out my outfits for a trip. A few months back my boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to Vegas to see Aerosmith play at the MGM Grand Garden Arena . We had an awesome time. Who doesn’t have an awesome in Vegas?  Below you will find how I planned and transitioned my outfits throughout the weekend. Check out some of the other great Las Vegas hotels and find inspiration on how you’d plan to transition your own outfits. Hope you enjoy!

Chicago O’Hara Airport First Class Lounge waiting to go to Vegas. I love to travel on planes in a maxi because it is comfortable. It is also easy to add and take away clothing due to temperature.
What do you do after you check into the MGM Grand Hotel? Head over to Tap Bar and Sports Bar for a beer.
A romper to check out the strip. The fit is comfortable and light to combat the desert heat.
Heading to Rehab for a day pool party. This outfit is light and works great as a swimsuit cover up.
Aerosmith concert outfit +MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Garden Arena. A dress is great and easy for a concert.
A skirt and leopard heels w/ a pop of color is a great option for dinner at Prime Steakhouse

Straightened hair and about to check out the nightlife @LAX. A little black dress is always a good idea in Vegas.

Blanket Scarfs Season

It’s blanket scarf season. Who else is as excited as I am? Blanket scarfs serve many purposes.

One being as an accessory to take you fall or winter outfit to the next level. The second reason is to keep you warm during those freezing temperatures. So you can never have to many, right? Below I have linked some affordable blanket scarfs. Like most things these can get pretty pricey. Most of the ones below are under $30. These scarfs sell out pretty quick so if you see one you like you better snag it. Hope you enjoy!

How to Add Some Flair to A Boring Sweater

Happy Friday! How was your week? Mine? It was pretty busy so I am definitely ready for the weekend. I started my weekend off with a little photo shoot to get me energized and ready. If you have big plans for your weekend how about pulling out a old boring sweater that you just cannot seem to give away and adding some flair to it?!? You ask “How can I do that”?
Well all of us have some of those plain basic sweaters in our wardrobe. How about adding one of this years top fashion item? The blanket scarf. Adding a blanket scarf can add flair to any outfit. Especially if it is a bright colorful one. Why not take it a step further and belt it with a skinny belt. This gives your scarf a cape effect and makes a statement. You can even get a little daring and mix patterns. My belt has polka dots on it.
There is no need to go out and spend money on something new when you can create new outfits by just adding a few details you already have in your closet. Enjoy!!
