Today I decided to wear my vintage owl necklace. I got so my compliments on it I decided to do a post. This necklace was given to me by one of my homemakers who is in her 70’s. She told me she use to wear it back it the 70’s. She was not sure where she got it but new I loved owls and wanted me to have it because she hadn’t worn it in years. I love freebies! This just proves that everything comes back in style at some point. So don’t give away great pieces. Hold on to them to give to the next generation. What is your favorite piece of jewelry you have been given?
So black Friday or should I say Thursday? What was your damage? I didn’t do too bad. Visited our local outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass and picked up some great finds at Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and North Face. Then headed over to one of our local malls and made a pit stop at Lululemon. And no shopping trip would be complete without stopping by Starbucks. Shopping hall post coming soon.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I sure did. What are you thankful for? Me….well I am thankful for everything. My family, my health, and the opportunity to get up everyday and go to work. I am really grateful for this new journey of blogging and all my followers. Hopefully you enjoy following me on this self exploration.
So today I woke up to 2 inches of snow and frigid temps. This definitely called for my Navy Hunters Huntress Wellies. Since there was snow it was a great time for me to try out my Hunters fleece cable cuff welly socks now on sale on the Hunters website. Don’t you just love a good pair of Hunters? Not only are they good for the rain and snow, they are also a good fashion accessory.
Sunday I went to Sally’s Beauty Supply to pick up my favorite top coat Out the Door and came out with 4 new nail polishes. No worries they were on the clearance for $3 each. #NailPolishHaul Who can resist cute nail polish that is on sale right?!?

Hello All! Hello weekend! So this weekend was pretty low key. It included a girls night and little shopping trip to Target. This Sunday November 16, 2014 Target started selling their Toms for Target. With each Toms item purchased from Target “one of the following will be donated or given: (I) by Target: $3 (the monetary equivalent of one week of meals for someone in need; $1 = 9 meals secured by Feeding America® on behalf of local food banks) to Feeding America FeedingAmerica.org; or $5 (the monetary equivalent of one blanket) to American Red Cross Disaster Relief redcross.org; or (II) by TOMS: TOMS will give one pair of new shoes to a child in need” (www.target.com). Shopping is always fun, but it is even more fun when it is helping a great cause. So I say get your shop on.
