I am definitely planning on shopping the sale and adding a couple new items into rotation. Off the Shoulder

Happy Memorial Day! Suns out, shoulders out! Off the shoulder tops and dresses are one of the hottest trends right now. This style can be pulled off by almost anyone. It is flattering and a way to be sexy without showing too much.

Off the shoulder shirts go great with cropped jeans (favorite jeans here and here) and shorts. I am eyeing this shirt and this one to add to my wardrobe. This outfit is casual and idea for outdoor social functions with friends. Off the shoulder dresses are also a big trend right now. I am a dress girl so I am loving this style. My three favorites are this one here, this one, and I really love the color of this one. Looks like this trend is here to stay. Shop the rest of my favorites below.

AMI Clubwear

Romper (similar here, here) | Jewelry (necklace, earrings, watch) | Jacket | Shoes | Sunnies
It’s romper season and I love a good romper! What about you? They are great for casual wear with flats or dressed up with a nice pair of heels. This particular one (found here) is from AMI Clubwear. Check out their website. They have some awesome summer staples.

I paired the romper with a jean jacket (here) to add a bit of color and a more casual look. Opting for sandals, found here, because I spent this day picking strawberries at Huber’s Orchard & Winery with the girls. If you live in Kentucky or Indiana I definitely suggest a family or friend outing to Huber’s.

No outfit is complete without jewelry. I definitely get my moneys worth out these earrings and necklace. They are by far my favorite and have been on full rotation since I got them. I finished the outfit with a pair of tortoise shell sunnies (similar here). With warmer weather in sight, rompers will be one of my summer staples. What is your summer staple?

Summer 2016 Trends

                                 One (top, bottom) | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six | Seven | Eight

Summer will be here sooner then you think. So if you are looking to add some of the top trending styles to your wardrobe, I have you covered.
There are many trending styles this summer. I have round up a few of my favorites. One trend that we saw a lot of in the fall, that has made its way to summer is the lace up flat (find an afford pair here). This flat can be worn with almost anything, like jeans to dresses, and even shorts. I will definitely be adding a pair to my shoe collection. Another trend I love is the bold stripe. Outfits with bold stripe patterns can hide or camouflage areas that you do not want to show or highlight. I am liking this dress here. Off the shoulder is also big this year. It is a great way to be a little sexy but not show too much. Find one of my favorite off the should tops here. One of the most stylish trends of the seasons is the exaggerated sleeve. It is very flowy, pretty and looks great on almost anyone. This dress (found here) with exaggerated sleeve would be idea for date night or hanging with the girls.

Frayed denim is a casual trend of the summer. Great for the weekend or after work. Find a pair of frayed denim shorts here. Another trend that is making a reappearance are gladiator sandals, so dust off your old ones or if you are looking to add a new pair to your collection try these here. Slipper mules are a trend that many seem to be loving lately. They are easy to wear and usually pretty comfortable. The ones here are pretty pricey but they look great. What trends will you be rocking this summer?

LWD: Little White Dress

LWD: One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six | Seven
The Little White Dress (LWD) is great for the Spring and Summer months. Wether it is for a graduation, date night, or a night out with the girls, a LWD is appropriate and stylish. If you are looking for a LWD for any occasion I have you covered.

It is graduation season and many graduates are looking for the perfect dress to wear under their robes and to parties. These dresses (here and here) are great for the grad and future professional. I love finding dresses that I can wear again.

If a date night dress is what you are looking for, try this dress here and this one. My favorite date night LWD is this one here. All are sure to please.
These two dresses (here and here) are great for a baby shower or hanging out with the girls. Whatever your activity is I am sure you can find the perfect LWD.

Passina Jewelry

Happy Wednesday All!! How many of you are fans of statement necklaces? I have up both hands raised right now! LOL!

This statement piece, which I received so many compliments on, is from Passiana Jewelry (website). The Spring Crystal Bib (here), is one that will be on rotation often. I love the colorfulness of it and that it compliments almost any outfit. Passiana has some unique jewelry from all price ranges to choose from. They have high quality necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. So you can definitely find something you need to add to your collection.

I paired this statement piece with a maxi (similar one found here and here). Maxi dresses are great for transitioning weather. Added a jean jacket. Confession I have had this jack since high school, which just tells me certain things never go out of style. You can find a similar jacket here. I finished the look with flats (here), my favorite tote (here), and some sunnies (similar here). Since I had on a detailed necklace I chose to wear stud earrings (here) so I would not take away from it. Shop the rest of my look below. Hope you enjoy!

This Lauren James Scalloped Seersucker skirt (found here and here)  is the perfect skirt for the preppy girl. It is great for the summer months.

You have probably seen many seersucker pieces at horse racing events at the track or even a polo match. It is definitely an easy material to style and looks great with many other items. I paired this  skirt with a white v-neck (here), tan flats (here) and a oversized tote (here). Derby Fashion

The Kentucky Derby was this past Saturday. Since I live in Louisville it is always a big deal in town leading up to the main event.

I have attended the Derby many times but this one was the best one yet because I had an awesome seat near the finish line, I got to go with with my beau, and I made a winning bet! #Awesome #Winning

Your Derby outfit is always a big deal and a even bigger deal is your head piece. I wore a fascinator to the races. If you aren’t a huge hat fan than a fascinator is a way to go. Mine was made by a friend of a friend. Check out her Facebook page (here). She has some great pieces that won’t break the bank. I chose to wear a simple pink pleated dress (similar here) with gold and chalcedony jewelry (earrings here, necklace here). I finished the look with my favorite bag (here) and tan strappy caged sandals (here). I received a lot of compliments on this outfit and it is definitely one of my favorites.
