Friday Five 3/25

If you follow my blog you know that I am a big fan of Valentia Skin Care products. I have many of their products for women, which I will link below. Since I love them I wanted my boyfriend to try their Men’s line of skin care.

There scrub for men (which can be found here), let me just say it smells amazing. He has been using it for the past couple days and he said he really likes it. He has not used too many scrubs but would definitely incorporate this into his daily routine because it doe not really take up anymore time then what he was already doing. This scrub removes dead skin cells, deep cleans pores, and  removes excess dirt and oils. It also helps prevent irritation from shaving, such as razor bumps and ingrown hairs. It is formulated with coconut oils to help hydrate skin and establish the skins natural antimicrobial barrier leaving the skin smooth, nourished and more firm. The Valentia scrub help fade acne scars and reduce clogged pores. I might steal this back from my boyfriend and use it myself.

Some of Valentia Skincare for Women favorites are here, here and here.

Everyone can use a good pair of headphones now of days. Whether it is for music streaming, hands free calling or to cancel out noise on an airplane. Many of these headsets can get pretty pricey. Yes they do great things, but spending hundreds of dollars on a pair isn’t in the some peoples budget. Well I have a perfect pair for you. The Ausdom M05 Bluetooth Wireless Headphones (found here, expensive ones here). These headphones can be used both wired and wireless. They are well under $100 so they do not brake the bank.  The headphones have a super soft ear cushion that provides long lasting comfort, 20 hours of battery usage, 40 mm speaker drivers for clear listening. The ear cups rotate for easy storage and transport. They also come with a storage bag. These headphones are definitely a great alternative to the more expensive ones and I have really enjoyed mine.

In a world where everyone is aware of our fitness, health and weight sports gadgets are a dime a dozen. Many can be very expensive. If you do not have a excess budget to spend on fitness accessories I have the one for you. The Aposon Sport Watch, (found here, similar here and here). It is affordable and does what you need it to do without all the extras. It provides accurate time keeping with a stop watch.  It is waterproof for your water sport activities. It has an alarm, calendar (with date, week, and month). It is shock resistant that is suitable for outdoor and indoor sporting activities. If you are looking for a simple sports watch, this is the one for you. It comes in multiple colors,  has a LED back light to see information clearly, and sleek enough to wear as a everyday watch.

I’m a bracelet girl. I love to have a great jewelry stack. They can add so much to your outfit to dress it up. This bracelet is from Allison Cole Jewelry (website here). She has some great designs that are handmade nautically inspired rope bracelets. It is a unique and different look to add to your collection. Check her out Use code: ALLISON for 20% off. Similar bracelet here and here. Follow her on Instagram here.
Who is a watch girl? I am! There are some many beautiful watches that can add a little flare to you jewelry stack. If you like to change them up often to go with different outfit, that can get a little expensive. So I have the solution to that. These two particular watches are from a company called Wristology (website here) (similar watches here and here). They have affordable watches, with many styles and colors to choose from. The watches are high quality with crystal faces for women. All Wristolgy watches are under  $50. They have everything from super chunky boyfriend watches for women to pretty dainty watches when you want to feel very girly. I love my Wristology watches and get compliments on them all the time. Wristology is offering my readers 20% off when you use code: AA20, plus there is free shipping off any watch. If you get one come back and tell me which is your favorite.

Easter Dress Inspo

Easter is this weekend and I am still deciding on what dress to wear. What about you? Do you your dress yet?

I am a big proponent of shopping your own closet if you have that option. I have narrowed it down to three dresses from my closet which are all very different. I tend to go floral or brightly colored for Easter, which I have a lot of in my closet. Shopping your closet is the best option if you are trying to save money, but if your budget allows I have picked some of my favorites like this rosetta tea length dress here, or this  zigzag print asymmetrical, and even this floral print here. I linked some more of my favorites below. Hope you enjoy!

Weekend in the Desert

This past weekend I flew out to the Palm Desert to meet my boyfriend at the HITS Desert Circuit Horse Show. He is the National Sales Manager for Equine Motorcoach (website here). If you have horses you really should check out the motorcoach. The views in the Palm Desert are spectacular, as you can see from the pictures.

It gets pretty hot here in the desert so I made sure I packed a lot of dresses. This one I have on is a favorite. A Lilly Pulitzer from last year. I have linked new similar Lilly’s here and here. I accessorized it with my Kendra Scott earrings, found here, my Louis Vuitton tote (here), and Tory Burch sandals (similar here and here). I have linked my outfit details below.

If you have never been to a horse show you should check one out. It is very interesting. I did not know too much about horses, unless they were running at the Kentucky Derby (being that I am from Kentucky) until I started attending these shows. There are many different disciplines and I am learning about many of them slowly.
Hope you enjoy!

Watch is from Wristology (website here). Use code: AA20 to get 20% off and free shipping off any watch. Similar watch here.  Fitbit can be found here. I love purple. It is my favorite color. How to Pack for a Long Week Away when Flying

This week I will be in Palm Springs, San Diego, and LA. Going to three different spots it is hard to make sure you pack everything and get it all to fit in your luggage. Here is my packing guide and how to make it all fit.

What to pack in your carry-on:

In my carry-on I usually pack my valuables and anything I will need on the plane or immediately when getting to my destination. My carry-on list is as follows:
*My carry on bag is here (eyeing this one here too)
*Noise-canceling headphones for the plane (here)
*My Cannon Rebel Digital Camera for blog and travel pictures (similar here)
*My expensive handbags (two of my favorites here and here)
*My expensive jewelry (some favorites here and here)
*Sunglasses (including these here and here)
*Any medications, vitamins (hair vitamins here), lip balm (here)
*Expensive Makeup that is allowed through security (here are two favorites here and here)
*Chargers and and portable chargers (here
*My Laptop and iPad
*Extra set of clothes, extra panties and bra……just in case my suitcase doesn’t arrive when I do 🙁
*Swimsuit (eyeing this one here) and beach towel here)
*Extra pair of sandals (two favorites here and here)
*A book (currently reading this, next this)
For the suitcase I check (found here) I add in the rest. This seems to be a favorite suitcase of many here.

All the clothes you will need. I try to limit this so that the bag is not too heavy.
*I take one pair of jeans (my favorite right now are these white denims here)
*Always have a pair of leggings (favorites here)
*One pair of heels for nights out (Loving these here)
*Skincare products (Favorites here, here, and here)
*Makeup (Favorites here, here, and here
*I also make sure I have an extra sweater (here and here)
*A rain coat (here)
*A pair of gym shoes (eyeing these here)
*All my clothing I plan to wear (I make sure I plan out by day with one or two extra option just in case. I do this so I do not over pack. Taking a lot of dresses for this trip because the weather will be nice. Two of my favorite dresses are here and here
I try to pack this strategically so that it is organized and and everything fits. I store all my makeup and skincare products in a cosmetic bag (favorite here and here). Put my shoes in shoe bags (here and here). I roll my jeans and leggings so they do not take up too much room. I fold up the rest of my clothes and place them on one side of the suitcase on the other I put the shoes and then my makeup bag on top of the shoes. I put under garments and night clothes in the front zippers and use the top zippers for anything else or to store my dirty clothes though out the week.
One thing that I always do is add an identifying piece on the outside my checked luggage, such as a ribbon because with so many suitcases at baggage claim it is easier to spot yours.
What are some of your packing tips that work for you? I have also link some of the items i mention above and some of the pieces I will be wearing this week below. Hope you enjoy!

Spring Picks 2016

The first day of Spring is tomorrow and I am so looking forward to it. What about you? It is the days of chilly mornings and warm almost hot afternoons. It is definitely a time for transitioning your wardrobe for the upcoming heat. There are there are so many great spring styles that I love.

One of my favorites is florals. Find an affordable pair of floral heels here. I love floral shoes because they make me think of the flowers yet to bloom. Another Spring favorite is white denim (find a great pair of white denim jeans here). Chambray is a trend that we have seen a lot of this past year. I love a good chambray dress because it is easy to throw on for many occasions, like to run errands, social gathering with friends, and to work with a sweater or blazer (here is my pick for a chambray dress). Since eventually it will be warm enough to lay by the pool or go to the beach my pick for a swimsuit is a one piece halter. It is very flattering for most body types (find my favorite here). What are your Spring favorites? Check out my other Spring picks below. Hope you enjoy!

Friday Five 3/18

Happy Friday! I am starting a new series on the blog called the Friday Five. A couple Friday’s a month I will review five products on the blog anything from skincare, clothing, health products, to hotels. So I will start this Friday with five products that I think you will enjoy!

We are all looking for a great scrub to remedy many of our skincare problems. Well this Arabica Coffee Scrub (found here) combats many of these issues. This scrub is packed with antioxidants, which helps fight against aging skin, such as wrinkles and sun spots. This scrub is gentle enough to use on your face. The caffeine from he coffee reduces puffy eyes and lightens dark circles under eyes and helps eliminate acne and acne scars. I love this product because it is 100% natural, animal cruelty-free, and a reasonable price point. Not only does it moisturize the skin with coconut oil it helps diminish cellulite. Caffeine also tightens the skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite when used regularly. Coffee scrub is successful is helping remove stretch marks and spider veins. The sea salt in the scrub removes dirt and dead skin for a youthful appearance. I wanted to use this scrub because I suffer from eczema and coffee scrubs target the dry skin spots and help keep moisture in. I would definitely recommend Arabica Coffee Scrub (found here).

I receive many products to review for myself and to promote to other women. So I decided I needed to review items that interest men. This watch from Woodie Spec is a stunner (found here, similar here and here). I love the two tone color, the natural wood and black leather compliment each other. Very stylish and hip. Any man would love this accessory. It is masculine enough but yet a women could appreciate it and maybe want to sport it herself. I would totally rock it! No two watches are alike because no two pieces of wood are alike. A part of every purchase from Woodie Spec goes toward children in need  through World Vision. I would definitely recommend adding this watch to your collect or giving it as a gift to a man in your life.

So if you are like me you misplace things often and it takes you forever to find them. I have found a solution. This Beets BLU key finder (which can be found here, similar here)  prevents the loss of many of your values such as your phone, keys or even wallet. This thing is a lifesaver. Basically you attach it to what you seem to misplace the most. For me it is my keys, so I would attach it to my key ring. Using an app on your smartphone the pager tag that is attached to your missing item produces an alarm to alert you to where the item is. This simple genius idea is definitely a timesaver and a lifesaver. The setup process is easy to install and the key finder is easy to use. This item is for you if you need a little help keep up with things.

I have been working on my health and fitness a lot lately. Lets face it the older we get the more aware of our health, weight, and lifestyle we are. I have decided to use many products to help me along in my journey. One is the Beets Blu heart rate monitor (found here similar one here). This heart rate monitor is compatible with smart phones. It syncs easily with iPhones and Androids, and enhances many of your fitness and health apps, such as, MapMyRun, RunKeeper, Digifit and many more. It is also very easy to use. The heart rate monitor is attached to an adjustment belt you wear around your chest while exercising. The strap is comfortable and lightweight. It delivers an accurate heart rate though ECG technology. Beets Blu monitor helps you track activity with a cardio focus within your target heart rate, as well as tailor your workouts to age a skill level. Having a heart rate monitor with my workouts makes a big difference in my exercise routine because I can track my performance and know when I have made progress.

A good scale is another thing I have added to my health and fitness journey. I like the EatSmart Precision 550 Extra Wide Digital Scale (found here similar here). Not only is it stainless steel it is wide and sturdy, 15”x13”, so the weight of your whole body is supported.  This scale has four sensors to ensure accurate measurements. It has a large screen with blue LCD backlight which is easy to see. But the best part is that it beeps three time when your weight is registered so that you can step off and view the scale. It also has “Step-On” technology that allows you to get your weight instantly. The scales weight capacity is 550 lbs. which is the highest on the market (.2 lbs increments) and it is easily switched from lbs/kg. It runs off 3 AAA batteries (which are included). The EatSmart scale has a 100% money back guarantee and a two-year warranty. I would definitely recommend this scale. I am enjoying mine and know that it will help me get to my health and fitness goals.

Wedding Season

Who is ready for Spring? I definitely am. I  cannot wait for the days of cool mornings and warm even hot afternoons and evenings. In the spring and summer I love to wear dresses.

They are the easiest thing to put on and can literally be worn anywhere. To work, church, a wedding and out with friends. Since spring and summer are big time wedding seasons I put together a look I plan on wearing to an upcoming wedding this summer.

I love this floral dress (similar here, here, and here). It is great for an indoor or outdoor wedding. I paired it with a white blazer (found here and here). Blazers are awesome for coverups for sleeveless dresses especially for outdoor or evening wedding. I literally have 6-8 blazers because they are a great compliment to almost any outfit. I accessorized this outfit with Kendra Scott earrings (here) and necklace (here) Watch is from Wristology (found here), use code: AA20 for 20% off of any watch. I paired my Chloé ‘Marcie’ satchel (here) and wedges (favorites here and here) to finish the look. What is your favorite wedding look? Shop my look below. Hope you enjoy!

Throw a Blazer On: It’s International Women’s Day

There is nothing like a good blazer. Can I get an Amen! Adding a blazer to any outfit can add a pop of color and even take your outfit to the next level. I have multiples in my closet of all different colors.

Blazers go great with everything from jeans, to dress pants, to skirts or dresses. I chose to pair this red blazer (a similar one can be found here), with black leggings (found here), and a black and white stripped ruffled shirt (similar here). I accessorized with snake skin heels (similar here), this popular leopard clutch (found here), and gold jewelry (earrings here, neckless here, and bracelet here). The watch is from Wristology (found here). Use code: AA20 to get 20% off of any watch. I completed the look with a red lip (my favorite one can be found here).

Did you know that March 8 is International Women’s Day? Today we are celebrating 40 years of liberation from a time when women did not have a choice to wear what they wanted in public, especially pants and a blazer. So today I am wearing my blazer and pants. You will also see all over your social media other women proudly wearing their blazers to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. You should definitely show your support by throwing on a blazer and  hastaging your pictures with #IWD2016, #PledgeforParity, and #Right2SuitUp.
Below I have linked similar looks. Hope you enjoy! And Happy International Women’s Day!
