#WorldAIDSDay #WearRed

December 1 is World AIDS Day. So today for my #OOTD I wore red to support. “World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day and the first one was held in 1988.” (http://www.worldaidsday.org/about-world-aids-day.php). Anytime I can bring awareness to issues that are concerning to all people I try my best to do my part. Visit the World Aids Day website to learn more and do your part.

Vintage Owl Necklace

Today I decided to wear my vintage owl necklace. I got so my compliments on it I decided to do a post. This necklace was given to me by one of my homemakers who is in her 70’s.  She told me she use to wear it back it the 70’s. She was not sure where she got it but new I loved owls and wanted me to have it because she hadn’t worn it in years. I love freebies! This just proves that everything comes back in style at some point. So don’t give away great pieces. Hold on to them to give to the next generation. What is your favorite piece of jewelry you have been given?

You can find a similar necklace Here. Scroll down it is the 7th piece on the site.
